From Freelance Dreamer to Digital Maestro

Picture this: I started as a Freelance Content Writer, dreaming up stories and bringing them to life through words. Soon after, the vibrant world of a reputed digital marketing agency in Colombo became my playground. In just three months, I transformed from a Junior Content Writer to the Digital Content Strategist – the wizard behind the content curtain, crafting strategies for various brands, including making waves in Mass Media advertising.

Fast forward to 2022, and the title on my business card reads “Head of Content and Digital Media Productions” at Wonder Labs. Here, the air is thick with creativity, and I lead a fantastic team in turning ideas into digital masterpieces.

But that’s not all – I wear many hats! As the Founder and Chief Growth Officer of Ceylon Media Group, I’m the captain steering the ship. In this creative haven, we have BrandWell, a place where corporate branding and digital dreams come true, and Viral Memories, where we capture moments through the lens of professional videography.

Law, Marketing, and the Art of Strategy

Now, about that law degree of mine – it’s not just a fancy piece of paper! Studying Law at the University of London wasn’t just about books; it was about learning the art of building compelling arguments. Today, that legal mindset helps me approach people and create strategies that speak to hearts and minds. It’s like weaving legal magic into marketing strategies – a unique touch that sets my approach apart.

And there’s more! I’m not just stopping at Law. I’m currently deep into the world of attorneys at Sri Lanka Law College and navigating the academic waters for an MSc in Strategic Marketing at Queen Margaret University, UK.

Education Beyond the Norm

But wait, there’s more to the story. I’ve dabbled in language with a Diploma in English (courtesy of Pearson UK) and took a journalistic plunge at the Sri Lanka College of Journalism. Sociology? Explored that too, wandering through the halls of knowledge at the University of Peradeniya and the University of Sri Jayawardanapura. My toolkit isn’t just filled with one skill; it’s a diverse set, a rainbow of knowledge that brings color to my creative canvas.
